Cursed BrotherHood : A Thunder Force Legends


Welcome to the first devlog of my upcoming game, Cursed Brotherhood: A Thunder Force Legend.
This is a playable demo of what I envision as a more polished and ambitious take on the world and story of Thunder Force: Heaven.
You may ask: "Why start a whole new project?"
Well, when I first began developing Thunder Force: Heaven, I had limited experience with game design. To keep things manageable, I initially set the resolution of the early levels to 320×200 (and 640×400 for the later stages).
If you've played Thunder Force: Heaven, you might have noticed the gameplay gimmicks improving gradually as you progress—this was no accident! I was learning as I went.
Eventually, I reached the halfway mark—five levels out of eight—and began facing a significant issue: the resolution was too low, and adding newly developed gameplay ideas into old code was becoming increasingly messy.
To move forward efficiently, I decided to start fresh with a new project: Cursed Brotherhood: A Thunder Force Legend.
Once completed, this game is intended for full release and commercial distribution. But don't worry: Thunder Force: Heaven, which now serves as a prototype for Cursed Brotherhood, will remain available and playable on Itch.io.
