Update Ver 4.1 : CutScenes and Background Improvement


I know, I said I wouldn’t release any updates before Version 5.0.

But Version 5.0 is a very ambitious milestone, so I thought it might be a good idea to offer an improved Version 4.1 to refine what already exists in my game... And there was definitely room for improvement, especially with the backgrounds and cutscenes. :)

The most important change is the font update. The old font, Aldo The Apache, was very stylish and reminded me of the fonts used in arcade machines. However, it only displayed uppercase letters, which made reading difficult—especially for dialogues in my game that can last several minutes.

Other changes mainly involve enhancing and animating the backgrounds:

  • For example, in Level 1, as you delve deeper into the cave, the light gradually dims.
  • Another example is in Level 4, where bombs dropped on the city cause a blackout.

I’ve also added animated elements to the cutscenes to make them more dynamic and bring them to life.
